Something happens to my art everytime I don’t paint for a while…I get better or atleast I think I did. My theory is my brain is trying to figure out how to paint again and remembering the ones that works:P Problem with painting sometimes is that, It’s not a guarantee you’ll progress because it’s quite possible you are doing the same mistakes again and again for some habits that aren’t good became a routine and part of the process. To me it’s like my mind installed updates, needs to shutdown and after re-booting makes for a better version. Not saying I’m there, but doing it was “serene” OR maybe I just had a convuluted mind before:/ Anyway still a WIP
Laundry and Interview. So few hours spent on this. But I WILL FINISH IT!
Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race
How Cool is “Gradient Map”! This is a great coloring tool. Now the real grunt work is underway because I feel it was a mistake to render it in graphite and now have to re-paint it all over again. Maybe next time I’ll just stick with greyscale markers because it allows better transition from trad to digital. I hope to correct many mistakes along the way as well.
It cuts the time reworking average lights and high lights. Truly a time saver and I’m thinking going back to grey scale. Problem before is you have to rework the lights you’ve established in greys if you set a new layer on “color”. Thanks for the link, Wil!
